Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Supriya Sule has raised serious concerns over the rising incidents of crimes against women in Maharashtra, urging Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take immediate and decisive action to address the worsening law and order situation, reported IANS.

Surge in crimes across urban and rural regions

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Sule highlighted a sharp increase in crimes against women, including physical assault, murder, sexual exploitation, domestic violence and kidnapping. She pointed out that major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nashik have witnessed a troubling surge in such incidents, reported IANS.
