A fresh political controversy erupted in Maharashtra after Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad allegedly threatened a publisher over a book on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, claiming it disrespects the iconic Maratha ruler. The opposition Congress condemned the remarks as “open hooliganism” and demanded immediate action, reported PTI.
