An incident involving the alleged assault of an on-duty railway guard by a Home Guard was reported on Mumbai’s suburban rail network late Monday night.
According to preliminary information, four Home Guards were blocking the door of a ladies’ compartment. When the guard requested them to spread out and not obstruct the entrance, one of them allegedly became agitated and kicked the guard as the train moved ahead. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has registered a Non-Cognisable Offence (NC) instead of filing a First Information Report (FIR).
