Mumbai is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rainfall in the city and suburbs on Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) weather forecast issued at 8 am.

The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, predicting occasional gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph, urging residents to exercise caution while travelling, especially in areas prone to waterlogging and falling tree branches.
