The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and Thane, forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places along with strong winds of 50-60 kmph, gusting up to 70 kmph, on Thursday.
According to the IMD's weather bulletin issued at 8 am, Mumbai is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rainfall at a few places across the city and suburbs throughout the day. Occasional gusty winds are also likely.
