Mumbai is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rainfall at a few places across the city and suburbs on Wednesday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for Mumbai and an orange alert for neighbouring Thane district.

The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places, accompanied by occasional strong winds and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph.
