The weather office forecast generally cloudy skies, with the possibility of light rain in the city and suburbs.</p>
<p>Daytime temperatures remained elevated, with maximum temperatures reaching 34.4 degree Celsius at both Colaba and Santacruz, according to the reported observations.</p>
<h2>IMD records no rainfall at Colaba, Santacruz</h2>
<p>The IMD&rsquo;s observations for November 3 showed that Colaba recorded a minimum temperature of 26.4 degree Celsius, while Santacruz registered 23.4 degree Celsius. Both observatories reported no rainfall during the observation period.</p>
<p>The IMD forecast generally cloudy skies, with the possibility of light rain in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-weather-updates-mumbai-may-witness-light-rain-imd-forecasts-thunderstorms-in-parts-of-maharashtra-23657560" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai</a> and its suburbs. The maximum temperature was expected to hover around 34 degree Celsius.</p>
<h2>Mumbai AQI at 78; BKC records moderate pollution</h2>
<p>Mumbai&rsquo;s overall air quality index (AQI) was reported at 78 on Tuesday morning, according to figures provided for the Central Pollution Control Board&rsquo;s SAMEER app. Under India&rsquo;s national AQI classification, readings between 51 and 100 fall in the satisfactory category, while values between 101 and 200 are classified as moderate.</p>
<p>However, several monitoring stations recorded moderate pollution levels. Bandra-Kurla Complex registered an AQI of 127, while Colaba recorded 88 and Deonar 86. Worli registered an AQI of 100. Andheri stood at 69, while Borivali recorded 66.</p>
<h2>Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan record varying AQI levels</h2>
<p>Air quality readings varied across the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-weather-update-dry-conditions-forecast-temperatures-near-35-deg-c-aqi-at-89-on-october-29-23657527" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai Metropolitan Region</a> (MMR). Thane recorded an AQI of 75, while Navi Mumbai registered 92 and Kalyan reported 84, according to the figures provided.</p>
<h2>Delhi's AQI rises to 451</h2>
<p>Meanwhile, air pollution in the national capital worsened ahead of Diwali, with Delhi's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 451 at 8 am on Tuesday, indicating "hazardous" air quality and raising concerns over the deteriorating pollution levels across the city.</p>
<p>According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), several monitoring stations in Delhi recorded AQI levels in the severe category, while many other areas continued to experience very poor air quality.</p>
<p>Rohini recorded an AQI of 429, followed by Punjabi Bagh at 424 and Bawana at 408, placing all three areas in the severe category.</p>
