BMC announces water cut in Mumbai's Mulund and Bhandup; parts of Thane to also be affected for 24 hrs on Jan 27-28

According to the Mumbai civic body, the works include repair and pipeline shifting work on the Vaitarna water supply system and will be carried out from 10 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, to 10 am on Wednesday, January 28, 2026

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday announced a 24-hour water supply disruption in parts of Mumbai including Mulund (West) and Bhandup (West). Supply in Thane city will also be affected on January 27-28, officials said.
The Mumbai water cut is due to repair and pipeline shifting work on the Vaitarna water supply system, they said.
