Two teenagers drowned in a water tank measuring 80x80 feet at Gautam Nagar in Aarey Milk Colony, Goregaon East on Friday morning, leaving their families devastated. The incident came to light around 11 am after an unidentified person alerted the police control room that two boys had reportedly fallen into the water body.

The deceased have been identified as Nakeeb Usman Khan, 14, a Std X student, and college-going Zaid Patel, 15. Both lived around Jhula Garden in Jogeshwari East. It was Khan’s wristwatch that helped the police identify him.
