Mumbai: Two injured in leopard attack near Kurar village close to Sanjay Gandhi National Park

According to villagers, the injured are a father and son who had gone to fetch water from a well near their hamlet between 5.30 am and 6 am

Two people were injured in a human–wildlife conflict incident reported near Kurar village, located adjacent to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, on Saturday morning. The injured were rushed to Shatabdi Hospital for treatment.

Leopard hides in trench after attack

After the attack, the leopard reportedly hid inside a trench in the area, triggering panic among residents. Forest officials were alerted, following which a rescue team from the national park, along with members of the NGO Wildlife Welfare Association (WWA), rushed to the spot and began efforts to secure the animal.
