Traffic alert for Mumbaikars: Two lanes of Vashi Bridge shut for repairs, expect delays towards Navi Mumbai

Officials from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) told mid-day.com that the two lanes on the Vashi Bridge have been closed for the maintenance activity. The work is currently underway and the affected lanes are expected to be reopened to traffic by Wednesday

Motorists heading towards Navi Mumbai via the Sion–Panvel Highway should brace for heavy traffic congestion during Tuesday evening’s peak hours.
Two lanes of the Vashi Bridge — which passes over Thane Creek just before the Vashi toll plaza — have been shut to facilitate ongoing expansion joint repair work, officials said.
