Dr RN Cooper Hospital in Mumbai has been hit by a strike by resident doctors and interns, affecting routine patient care. However, the emergency services have been unaffected so far, as departmental lecturers and on-duty residents are not participating in the strike.

In a circular issued on Saturday evening, the hospital administration requested the heads of the departments of medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ENT, psychiatry, paediatrics, and obstetrics & gynaecology to ensure the presence of faculty and non-striking residents to manage emergency cases.
