Heavy monsoon showers continued to lash Mumbai and its suburbs on Tuesday, disrupting traffic in parts of the city and triggering multiple rain-related incidents, including a fatal tree collapse in Chembur, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) latest situation report.

Between 8 am and 10 pm, the city recorded 64.85 mm of rainfall, while the eastern and western suburbs received 76.69 mm and 70.30 mm, respectively.
