The Mumbai police have examined around 600 CCTV cameras in a bid to identify the SUV that ran over and killed 36-year-old Vikram Shantaram Bhalekar in Ghatkopar East on October 10. With the vehicle’s registration number yet to be identified from the footage examined so far, investigators are now relying on its physical appearance, including its roofline, sunroof, front profile, and rear design, to narrow down the search.

According to the police, CCTV camera footage is being examined to establish the type of vehicle involved. Investigators are also checking garages from Nahur to Goregaon and other areas to find vehicles that may have been brought in for repairs after sustaining damage in the incident.
