IMD warns of 'heavy to very heavy rainfall' on weekend; issues red alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall on the weekend.
The weather alert mentioned, "Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on July 4 and 5."
