Mumbai rain alert: IMD issues yellow warning, heavy showers likely for two days

The yellow alert will remain in place for Mumbai on Thursday as well. The intensity is likely to reduce on Friday, with the city expected to receive moderate rainfall, followed by light to moderate rain on Saturday and Sunday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar, forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places over the next couple of days as the monsoon remains active over Konkan. The weather bureau has issued an orange alert for Raigad, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places on Wednesday.

The yellow alert will remain in place for Mumbai on Thursday as well, the latest district-wise forecast and warning issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre at 12.30 pm on Wednesday stated.
