According to the Andheri police, the incident took place around 8.50 am when Gaikar was walking towards his office with his friend after getting down at Andheri station

A 47-year-old man sustained severe head injuries after a tree branch fell on him near the Andheri subway on Wednesday morning.
The victim, identified as Aadesh Gaikar, a resident of Virar East, underwent emergency brain surgery and remains in critical condition.
