The Mumbai Metro Line-6 project (Swami Samarth Nagar–Vikhroli) has received a significant legal boost, with the Supreme Court on Tuesday refusing to interfere with the Bombay High Court's February 13 order in favour of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
The development clears a legal hurdle for the 14.5-km, 13-station elevated corridor, which is expected to provide a crucial east–west link across Mumbai, connecting the western suburbs with the eastern corridor via Jogeshwari, Powai and Kanjurmarg.
