New elevated deck at Vasai Road railway station opens for public

The elevated deck measures 60 metres in length and 10 metres in width. It has been constructed over Platforms 6 and 7 and is equipped with 3-metre-wide staircases, officials said

A new elevated deck has been opened for passenger use at Vasai Road railway station to ease congestion on busy platforms, an official statement said on Tuesday.

The facility has been commissioned by the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) and is expected to significantly improve crowd movement at the station, it said.
