Borivali-Virar 5th and 6th Lines Project has achieved 30 per cent physical progress, with MRVC targeting completion by 2029. The Rs 2,184-crore project includes land acquisition, bridge, platform and FOB works aimed at increasing capacity and improving train service segregation

The Borivali-Virar 5th and 6th Lines Project has achieved 30 per cent physical progress, with the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC) targeting completion of the major capacity augmentation project by 2029.

The project under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project-IIIA (MUTP-IIIA) on the Western Railway suburban corridor has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 2,184 crore.
