The additional services have been introduced to ease crowding and improve travel for commuters on the busy suburban route.
The special trains will run between Virar, Dahanu Road, Churchgate and Borivali throughout the day.
Railway officials said the extra services have been planned to provide better connectivity and reduce congestion during peak travel hours.

Most of the additional trains are scheduled to run during the afternoon and evening, when <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-local-train-updates-panvel-stations-roof-sheet-collapses-no-one-injured-say-officials-23641271" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">passenger numbers are usually at their highest</a>.
From 2.10 pm onwards, special trains will operate between Virar and Dahanu Road, with multiple return services running until 8.55 pm.
The extra trains are expected to ease pressure on regular suburban services and provide a more comfortable journey for passengers.
<h2>Late-night special train</h2>
A final special service will leave Dahanu Road at 9.20 pm and reach Borivali at 11.15 pm.
To accommodate this service, Western Railway has cancelled one regular Churchgate-bound local train.
Western Railway has urged commuters to check train timings before travelling and make use of the additional services for a smoother journey.
The special operations are aimed at improving <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/western-railway-suspends-train-movement-after-water-reaches-danger-mark-between-gholvad-and-umbergaon-23641154" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">passenger convenience</a> and managing higher travel demand on the Dahanu Road section.
