A <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbais-link-square-mall-fire-probe-pending-traders-struggle-a-year-after-devastating-blaze-23627777" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">fire broke out</a> in a cluster of hutments in Mazgaon area of Mumbai on Tuesday, officials said, adding that so far no injuries have been reported in the incident.
The incident was reported at around 11 am in the Ekta Nagar area near Hancock Bridge.
According to officials, the fire was limited to around seven to eight hutments comprising ground-plus-partly one and two-storey structures.
Quick action by the fire brigade helped contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further, officials said.
<h2>Level I fire</h2>
The Mumbai Fire Brigade declared it a Level I (minor) fire at approximately 11:03 am, indicating that the situation was under control but required immediate response.
Multiple agencies were mobilised to handle the situation, including the officials from <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/process-for-census-2027-to-begin-in-may-bmc-plans-major-public-outreach-drive-in-mumbai-with-bollywood-celebrities-social-media-and-special-initiatives-23627728" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation</a>, Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, BEST authorities, 108 ambulance services and ward staff.
The blaze was extinguished at 1 pm, officials said.

<h2>No injuries reported</h2>
As per initial reports, no injuries have been reported in the incident.
The officials said that they were <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/marathi-must-for-drivers-working-knowledge-of-marathi-must-for-drivers-says-pratap-sarnaik-urges-unions-to-support-in-learning-it-23627738" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">examining the situation</a> and assess the damage caused.
<h2>One injured as fire breaks out at scrap godowns</h2>
Meanwhile, in an another incident, a fire had broke out in at least six scrap godowns in Mankhurd area early on Friday, leaving one person injured, civic officials had earlier said.
The fire erupted around 5 am at Kurla Scrap Dealers in Ekta Nagar, Mandala, along the Govandi-Mankhurd Link Road, they had said.
A person, identified as Shahrukh Khan (25) had sustained 40 to 45 per cent burns and was admitted to the civic-run Sion Hospital.
He was later said to be in a stable condition and continue to get medical treatment.
Following the information regarding the blaze, four fire engines and other firefighting vehicles were rushed to the spot. Local officials including the BMC and police also rushed to the spot.
The blaze was doused around 8.40 am, said an official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
He said that the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-bus-catches-fire-near-thane-station-creates-panic-among-commuters-no-injuries-reported-23627120" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">fire</a> affected electric wiring and installations, LPG cylinders, tarpaulin sheets, oil drums, plywood, steel sheets and scrap material stored in the 'galas' (units).
