<p>A fire broke out early Friday morning at a showroom in Mumbai's Worli area, the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-south-mumbai-showroom-no-injuries-reported-23535342" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation</a> (BMC) said.</p>
<p>According to BMC officials, the blaze erupted at the Marshal Showroom located inside Bharat Bazar, Gandhi Nagar, on Dr E. Moses Road. The incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at around 4:46 am.</p>
<p>The fire was classified as a Level-I blaze at 4:55 am and was brought under control and fully extinguished by 7:12 am, the MFB confirmed.</p>
<p>The fire was mainly confined to the Worli showroom&rsquo;s electrical wiring and installations, along with various stored materials, including paper bundles, cartons, gift boxes, makeup accessories, printed matter, stationery stock, clothes, computers, iron racks, wooden doors, an AC unit on the roof, and a TVS motorcycle stored on the mezzanine floor.</p>
<p>The affected area, measuring approximately 900 sq. ft., was part of a ground-plus-one-floor structure with an AC sheet roof and was primarily used as a godown.</p>
<p>One firefighter, Leading Fireman Ajindra Ganpat Sawant, sustained a minor injury to his right hand during the operation at the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-at-cafe-in-thane-no-injuries-reported-23548480" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Worli showroom</a>. He was immediately taken to Nair Hospital for treatment.</p>
<p>The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Further details are awaited.</p>
<h2>Fire breaks out at Vidhan Bhavan security check gate</h2>
<p>In another incident, a fire broke out at the entrance security check cabin of the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/breaking-news-fire-breaks-out-at-vidhan-bhavan-security-check-gate-in-south-mumbai-blaze-under-control-say-speaker-rahul-narvekar-23546956" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Vidhan Bhavan</a> premises in south Mumbai on Monday afternoon, officials said, adding that the blaze was under control.</p>
<p>Rahul Narvekar, the Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly, confirmed the incident and said that the fire was under control.</p>
<p>According to Rahul Narvekar, the cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit in the scanning machine installed at the security check.</p>
<p>No reports of any injuries were reported in the incident as of now, officials said.</p>
<h2>Empty coaches of express train catch fire at railway yard in Mumbai</h2>
<p>Meanwhile, two empty coaches of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-fire-breaks-out-in-mahanagri-express-trains-two-coaches-at-wadi-bunder-railway-yard-23548273" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mahanagari Express</a> caught fire at a railway yard in Mumbai on Tuesday, officials said.</p>
<p>There were no reports of injuries in the blaze that broke out at Wadi Bunder yard around 5.50 pm, they said.</p>
<p>A civic official said that the fire was confined to electrical wiring, installation, switchboard, panel, bedding, AC compressor and other materials in the three-tier AC coaches of the express train.</p>
