Shivaji Park’s popular Cafe Cadell is among the establishments facing action by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) who suspended its FSSAI licence. An inspection on August 20 found several serious violations.

The FDA said the eatery lacked adequate ventilation, had inadequate personal hygiene facilities and did not have records for testing drinking water used for food preparation. It also found no proper insect-proof screens, inadequate segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, poor staff hygiene and lapses in cleaning and sanitisation.
