The 70-year-old cancer patient, Yeshoda Gaikwad, who was allegedly abandoned by her own family members in the Aarey Colony in Mumbai to die, has passed away.

According to police sources, Yeshoda was earlier undergoing treatment at Dr Cooper Hospital. After being discharged, she stayed for a few days with her grandchildren. However, as her condition required continuous medical care, she was later admitted to an ashram located on Uttan Road, Bhayandar (West), with the help of an NGO.
