<p>There has been no end of memes about <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai-guide/mumbai-food/article/cocktail-hour-in-sobo-a-nariman-point-favourite-shutters-after-13-years-to-make-way-for-a-classy-unrushed-cocktail-bar-23604175" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">SoBo&rsquo;s pricey lifestyle</a></strong>. Well, Moshe Shek hopes to change it. The buzz is that the restaurateur&rsquo;s month-old hole-in-the-wall caf&eacute;, Knead Tapri, is quickly becoming a fan favourite. &ldquo;We began the project about four months ago. It used to be a chai tapri before, and I would pass by, and see people standing around and chatting over a cup of chai,&rdquo; shared Shek, revealing the origins of Knead Tapri. &ldquo;This was an attempt to reach out to the masses, and give them clean, quality tea,&rdquo; he told this diarist. With puffs, mawa cakes, and softees on the menu, we love this inspired take on the tapri.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Irish are back. The business neighbourhood&rsquo;s popular after-work hotspot The Irish House has returned to its OG neighbourhood in Fort after four years. With an expansive menu of its signature cocktails, 13-plus beers on tap, and 40 whiskies from around the world, trust foodies to crowd tables for a post-work drink. Regulars in the area will find comfort in the fact that the interiors will retain the warm, easy-going spirit to add to the redesigned interiors.&nbsp;</p>

<p>If you prefer the screen version of movies to their book versions, Smriti Sant has a thing to say to you. The Parel-resident is currently on a spree of a two-month read of John Steinbeck&rsquo;s East of Eden, ahead of the eponymous Netflix series. &ldquo;We are a bit possessive of books, and this is an intimidating tome. So, we gathered for a reading campaign,&rdquo; she shared.&nbsp;</p>
<p>On September 13, the bibliophiles in <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-pedestrian-first-campaign-bmc-removes-15-stalls-in-byculla-issues-27-notices-to-stallholders-23648240" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mumbai </a></strong>will also host a reading party. &ldquo;We sit down with refreshments, read a book for a short time, and have a conversation alongside,&rdquo; shared Sant. <p>When this diarist was in Germany for a brief period in 2023, they randomly attended a concert by <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/tech-no-travesty-fans-iphones-stolen-at-german-djs-gig-in-mumbais-goregaon-23584376" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">German DJ</a></strong> and producer Pretty Pink, aka Anne Karolczak, in Berlin known for her melodic house, melodic techno, and progressive house music. Now, to our delight, we hear that she&rsquo;ll be making her Indian debut. The DJ will take over the decks at Waves&ndash;The Bombay Club today. One can only hope she opens her set with her debut album Born Digital that crossed 55 million streams on Spotify, among her other chart-toppers.</p>
