Students in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools are set to get lessons in robotics and modern technology, with the civic body working with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay) to bring practical, technology-based learning into its schools. The initiative is aimed at introducing students to future technologies while encouraging scientific thinking and entrepreneurship.

As part of the initiative, 50 BMC school teachers and senior officials visited IIT-Bombay on Tuesday to understand how modern technology could be introduced to students in civic-run schools.
