The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a 10 per cent water cut in parts of the Island city and eastern suburbs for three days – October 7, 8, and 9. The supply will be hit owing to electrical upgradation work at the Pise and Panjrapur water treatment plants in Thane.

According to officials, the 100 kilowatts (KW) electrical meters at the treatment plants will be upgraded, with the work scheduled between 12.30 pm and 3 pm every day. This will affect water supply across several areas, prompting the civic body to impose a temporary 10 per cent cut.
