Mumbai to launch ‘Mumbai Against Drugs’ campaign from May 1

Mumbai will launch a year-long ‘Mumbai Against Drugs’ campaign from May 1, 2026, to tackle rising drug abuse cases. The initiative, led by the state government, will focus on youth awareness and involve schools, NGOs and citizens to build a citywide movement against substance abuse

In a bid to tackle rising drug abuse and overdose cases in Mumbai, the administration will roll out a year-long anti-drug campaign titled “Mumbai Against Drugs” starting May 1, 2026.

As per the official statement, the decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, along with BJP MLA Ameet Satam and senior officials from the administration, police, and various organisations in attendance.
