Mumbai and Navi Mumbai areas were on Friday put on high alert following a bomb threat email sent to the Mumbai mayor’s office, along with actor Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu house, and the venue of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s concert.
According to officials, the bomb threat emails were also sent to several schools. VIBGYOR High School branches across Navi Mumbai — including Airoli, Belapur, and Kharghar — were placed on alert, with students in Airoli sent home early following precautionary sweeps.
