Amid concerns over delayed monsoon rainfall and the possibility of below-average precipitation, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Standing Committee Chairman Prabhakar Shinde has called for immediate planning to ensure efficient water management and uninterrupted public transport services during the monsoon season.

In separate letters addressed to Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde on June 11, Shinde highlighted the need for proactive measures to address potential water shortages and recurring traffic disruptions caused by heavy rains and waterlogging across the city.
