Andheri West MLA and Mumbai BJP president Ameet Satam on Tuesday, September 29, drafted a letter to BMC Mayor Ritu Tawde and BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide, warning that the proposed conversion of the reserved plot into a residential zone could jeopardise emergency response in Versova, Lokhandwala, Oshiwara, and Seven Bungalows.
Ameet Satam also opposed the proposed deletion of a fire station reservation in the MHADA layout in Versova, demanding that the decision be rolled back and an inquiry initiated into the fire department officials who recommended the move.
