Commuters across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) will have to pay more for black-and-yellow taxis and auto-rickshaws from Tuesday, with fares being increased by Rs 2 and Re 1, respectively.

Revised minimum fares

Following the revision, the minimum fare for an auto-rickshaw has risen to Rs 27 from Rs 26, while the minimum fare for a black-and-yellow taxi has increased to Rs 33 from Rs 31. The revised minimum fare will apply to the first 1.5-km journey.
