The iconic Shivaji Park maidan at Dadar West last month became a site of protests that sparked from the agitation at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The capital’s agitation provided oxygen, and the blaze caught on here too, with students protesting about exam paper leaks, triggered by the NEET paper leak.

Mumbai advocate Nitin Satpute had a banner silhouetted against the Shivaji Park skyline, just outside the Maidan, stating that he has volunteered to represent free of charge “the student protesters allegedly implicated in false criminal cases.” The banner further read, “Social worker Naveen Lade has taken responsibility for overseeing the case.”
