Mumbai: 16-year-old dies after drowning at Juhu Chowpatty

A 16-year-old boy, identified as Sarfaraz Khan, drowned at Juhu Chowpatty near the JW Marriott Hotel on Friday evening. He was rescued by BMC fire brigade personnel and lifeguards and rushed to Cooper Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police are investigating the incident

A 16-year-old boy lost his life after drowning at Juhu Chowpatty near the JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu West on Friday evening, officials said.
According to preliminary information, the incident was reported to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at around 7:31 pm. Following the alert, rescue teams from the fire brigade, along with lifeguards, local police personnel, and a 108 ambulance service, rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
