Just a day after mid-day highlighted Santacruz East residents’ daily plight dealing with crows and rats due to an illegal open dumping spot in Kadamwadi, near Nagrik Stores, the spot in question was inspected and cleaned by the workers of the H East ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

While the civic body cleans up the area routinely, residents had stated that repeated efforts to arrive at a permanent solution along with the authorities have gone in vain. But on Thursday morning, officials from the civic body came to the site to assess the severity of the situation.
