Marathi language drive: Eknath Shinde felicitates 20,000 rickshaw, taxi drivers in Mumbai after training

Around 20,000 Hindi-speaking autorickshaw and taxi drivers were honoured with certificates after completing Marathi language training for everyday communication at an event in Mumbai's Borivali.
Speaking at the programme at Kora Kendra Ground, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said the initiative was about encouraging people to embrace Marathi rather than imposing the language on them.
