Mankhurd BEST bus crash: Injured commuter recounts horror after flyover accident

A day after the Mankhurd BEST bus crash that killed a 62-year-old pedestrian, one of the injured passengers recalled the terrifying moments of the accident. Labourer Sumangal Maity, who suffered a shoulder injury, was among 10 people hurt when the bus crashed into a bridge barricade on the Mankhurd flyover

Instead of heading home to sleep after his night shift, 42-year-old labourer Sumangal Maity ended up hospitalised with a shoulder injury. He is among 10 people injured after BEST Bus No. 8092, operated by M/s Mateshwari Urban Transport Solutions Pvt Ltd on Route 501 between Kurla East and Airoli, crashed into a bridge barricade on the Mankhurd flyover around 8.30 am on July 20, killing a 62-year-old pedestrian.
