Maharashtra continued to experience hot and humid weather on Friday, with Vidarbha remaining the hottest region in the state. According to the India Meteorological Department's Pune observatory, Brahmapuri in Chandrapur district recorded the state's highest maximum temperature at 42.9 degrees Celsius.

Vidarbha remains the hottest region

Several locations across Vidarbha reported temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, including Akola (42.0 degrees Celsius), Amravati (40.6 degrees Celsius), Buldhana (39.0 degrees Celsius), Chandrapur (40.4 degrees Celsius) and Nagpur (41.6 degrees Celsius), indicating persistent heat across the region.
