Thane civic body issues 6,580 property tax notices, begins seizure action against 286 properties

Thane Municipal Corporation has stepped up its property tax recovery drive, issuing notices to 6,580 property owners, initiating seizure proceedings against 286 properties, disconnecting water supply to 73 properties and sealing or restricting the use of 126 properties

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has stepped up action against property tax defaulters, issuing notices to 6,580 property owners and initiating seizure proceedings against 286 properties, according to a civic department release issued on Wednesday.

The civic body has also disconnected water supply to 73 properties and sealed or restricted the use of 126 properties as part of its drive to recover outstanding property tax dues.
