What was meant to be a celebration of electoral victory turned into a violent clash in Nerul on Friday evening, as the internal friction within the Mahayuti alliance reached a flashpoint. Workers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allegedly stormed and vandalised the campaign office of a Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) candidate, following a heated confrontation during a victory procession.
