Maharashtra local body elections: KDMC records 40.07 per cent voter turnout till 3.30 pm, Bhiwandi and Vasai-Virar see afternoon surge

In the early hours, Kalyan-Dombivli recorded 29.48 per cent turnout, according to officials. Authorities said polling was peaceful and urged citizens to vote in the remaining hours

Polling for Maharashtra local body elections, including in Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivli, Vasai-Virar and Bhiwandi continued on Thursday.

Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) election on Thursday continued smoothly, officials said, adding that 40.07 per cent voter turnout was reported till 3.30 pm.
