Maharashtra govt fast-tracks Metro-10 corridor to ease Thane-Mira Bhayandar traffic

The Maharashtra government has decided to accelerate the proposed Metro-10 corridor between Gaimukh (Retibunder) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk (Ghodbunder) in a bid to ease worsening traffic congestion in the Thane–Mira Bhayandar belt.
Tendering to begin next week
The 9.7-km elevated metro stretch, which will serve as an extension of the Dahisar–Kashigaon link up to Gaimukh, will enter the tendering stage next week, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik said.
