Maharashtra drought: First mitigation notification to be issued in 3 days, says CM Fadnavis

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said the first drought mitigation notification will be issued within three days, as drought-like conditions affect parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha. The state will provide farmer relief while separately seeking financial assistance from the Centre

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said the first notification related to drought mitigation will be issued in three days.

According to PTI, CM Fadnavis said that financial assistance will be sought from the Centre even as the state government will start extending aid to farmers.
