The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) in Maharashtra has imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on a housing project for allegedly failing to process solid waste and dumping garbage in the open, officials said.
Waste processing facility found non-functional during inspection
The KDMC had received several complaints that the Titwala-based housing society’s garbage collection and waste processing facility was frequently non-functional and remained shut, an official release stated, PTI reported.
