An official statement, issued by the Defence PRO on Thursday, said that the commemorative event featured a range of aerial and ground performances. NCC cadets presented aero-modelling demonstrations, offering a dynamic display of aviation enthusiasm and skill.
The Air Warrior Drill Team delivered a synchronised performance showcasing discipline and precision, while the Indian Air Force Band from Headquarters South <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-navy-chief-confers-gallantry-awards-at-naval-investiture-ceremony-2026-23623683" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Western</a> Air Command performed orchestral pieces that added to the ceremonial atmosphere.

A large number of senior defence officials attended the event, including Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, Vice Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, Additional Director General MV Pathak, Air Vice Marshal GS Bhullar and Major General Satinder Singh.
Their presence added significance to the commemorative event.
The programme saw active participation from veterans, serving armed forces personnel, NCC cadets, school students and members of the public. The strong turnout reflected the deep connection between the Indian Air Force and citizens.
The event was supported by the state government and police authorities, ensuring smooth conduct.
