The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has set up more than 383 artificial ponds across Mumbai for Ganesh idol immersion and completed preparations at 67 natural immersion sites ahead of the immersion days of the festival.

In a press release issued on Friday, the civic body said it has also deployed more than 25,000 officials and employees at immersion sites, while arrangements include 1,194 steel plates, 23 German rafts, 34 cranes, 85 ambulances, and 10 motorboats for the immersions to take place smoothly.
