Ganeshotsav 2026: BMC ramps up preparations in Mumbai; announce free cranes for idol immersion

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday stepped up preparations for Ganeshotsav 2026, with officials reviewing arrangements at immersion sites across Mumbai.

According to an official statement, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Dr Avinash Dhakne inspected several immersion locations in Mumbai City, the western suburbs and the eastern suburbs on Sunday, to review preparations for the arrival and immersion of Ganesh idols.
