Five children have reportedly suffered food poisoning after consuming samosas from the canteen of a <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-tempo-gangs-chase-ends-in-gang-of-thives-arrest-in-ghatkopar-23603098" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Ghatkopar </a>private school, authorities said on Monday.
The incident was reported at 2.15 pm by a security guard at Rajawadi Hospital.
According to the Rajawadi Hospital Assistant Medical Officer Dr Ajit, two children&mdash; an 11-year-old and a 10-year-old &mdash;are in stable condition and are receiving treatment on an outpatient basis.
The other three children&mdash; all aged 11&mdash;were discharged against medical advice (DAMA), officials said.

Tension flared in Maharashtra&rsquo;s Palghar district after locals staged a protest over the death of a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly made to perform 100 sit-ups as punishment for arriving late to school.
Following the protest, police registered a case late on the night of November 15, news agency PTI reported. Statements of the family, witnesses and school staff will be recorded, an officer said.
A large crowd gathered at Sativali in Vasai East on Saturday night and refused to cremate the Class 6 student, who had passed away at a <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-police-arrest-scrap-dealer-for-allegedly-molesting-french-tourist-in-khar-23603513" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai </a>hospital on Friday night, PTI reported.
The girl was allegedly asked to do 100 sit-ups after she reached school late on November 8. Her mother has claimed that her daughter died because of an &ldquo;inhuman punishment&rdquo; meted out by her teacher, who allegedly made her perform the sit-ups with her school bag on her back.
<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-goregaon-footpath-becomes-walkable-after-bmc-clears-overgrown-trees-23603402" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Locals </a>have accused the school administration of negligence and demanded immediate accountability, PTI reported.
When the girl's body was brought to the locality, hundreds of residents gathered, demanding a case against the school and the concerned teacher.
It was only after the police registered a case and assured the family of strict action that the cremation was carried out late in the night.
Talking to PTI, Vasai Block Education Officer Pandurang Galange said that officials had visited the school on Saturday, but no staff member was present.
"Education officials will visit the school on Monday for an inquiry," he said, adding that the department would cooperate fully with the police investigation and initiate appropriate action based on the findings.&nbsp;
