A fire that erupted in a heap of garbage near the Voltas Company in Gandhi Nagar on Pokharan Road No. 2 in Thane (West) was successfully extinguished late Monday night, with no injuries reported, officials said.
According to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), information regarding the incident was received at around 10.20 pm on January 27 from the Balkum Fire Station. Following the alert, teams were promptly dispatched to the site.
